BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today called on political parties to confront politics with politics rather than obstructing people’s right to vote.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, also addressing the programme, accused the Awami League of undermining democracy, indulging in corruption, and attempting to erase the memory of the 1971 Liberation War. He called for unity against extremism and communalism and emphasised the need to restore rule of law and democracy.
